Haley Nagorsen
Hi, my name is Haley! One thing you should know about me is that I LOVE science and I believe it is the most fun subject. What draws me to science is how you can experience hands-on learning of the subject. That's exactly why I decided to move from Wisconsin to Florida, so I could study marine science on land in a lab, and in the water by scuba diving. My favorite sea life to find underwater are colorful sea slugs and decorator crabs, because of how small and unique they are. It's like playing a big game of I Spy, trying to find these little creatures!
When I'm not out exploring in the water you can find me in a studio planning S.T.E.A.M activities. My main goal when teaching S.T.E.A.M based activities is to make science fun for young learners, and to encourage them to stay engaged with the sciences. Math and science are challenging subjects, but when students are able approach them with an exciting attitude, then the intimidating stigma can diminish. My hope is that my Learners have fond memories when they head into science class and can reminisce on certain experiments that drive their passion towards learning. I can't wait to meet you fellow STEAMers and get creative with science!
