What is a "Workshop?"

Workshops consist of hands-on arts, crafts and maker activities taught live and online by our passionate Museum educators and Instructors from around the world! Workshops allow a maximum of six participants at a time, so Learners and Instructors can engage, create, build, and connect in a truly meaningful way. The virtual workshop rooms are secure; only enrolled Learners will be able to join.

What kinds of Workshops are offered?

Workshops are hands-on, and involve making or doing something fun and constructive. Choose from a broad range of Workshops, with Instructors from the Museum and across the globe in designing a robot, jewelry making, creating a journal, mask making, instrument making, and folklore crafts. New workshops are added regularly, so keep an eye out for the latest!

Will my kids enjoy the Workshops?

Based on our experience, the answer is a resounding "YES!" Kids love our workshops because they get to make or do something new and exciting while connecting with others through a shared experience. Parents love the workshops because they offer constructive, educational and expansive experiences right from the comfort and safety of home. Whether you coordinate with distant family or friends for a shared, virtual experience, or you make new friends while taking your workshop, parents and kids both report an increased sense of connection to others after participating in a workshop.
